Sunset Sessions, hosted by award-winning songwriter Conor Gains, features award-winning artists Tony Dekker, Skye Walker, and Sam Polley. Watch as they trade stories, perform their favorite songs, and build on each other's energy in an unscripted evening of collaboration, creativity, and connection.

Meet the Artists

Skye Wallace
A commanding performer known for her powerful vocals, fearless songwriting and electrifying live shows, Skye Wallace blends folk, rock, alternative and punk influences into a sound that is uniquely her own. She has toured extensively across North America and Europe, sharing stages with artists including Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette, Sam Roberts Band, Laura Jane Grace and Tim Barry.

Tony Dekker
Tony Dekker is the lead singer and songwriter of the acclaimed indie-folk band Great Lake Swimmers. Over a career spanning more than two decades, the band has released nine studio albums, earned two JUNO Award nominations, been shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize and received a Canadian Indie Award for Favourite Folk/Roots Artist/Group.
Their latest album, Caught Light, was produced by Darcy Yates (Bahamas) and features engineering by Jimmy Bowskill (Blue Rodeo). The lead single, One More Dance Around the Sun, reached No. 1 on CBC's Top 20 chart in 2025. Recognized by CBC as "a national treasure," Great Lake Swimmers are celebrated for their timeless songwriting and distinctly Canadian perspective.

Sam Polley
Sam Polley is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter known for his timeless blend of roots, rockabilly, country, and soul influences. Born into a musical family, Polley grew up surrounded by music before forging his own path as an artist, forming Sam Polley and The Old Tomorrows in 2017 and developing a sound rooted in classic songwriting and energetic live performance.
After releasing their debut EP EP in a Day, Polley toured across Canada as a featured artist on the Jim Cuddy Band’s Constellation Tour, followed by the release of the band’s debut album Time Forgot. Drawing inspiration from the golden eras of rock and roots music, Polley continues to establish himself as a distinctive voice in Canadian music, carrying forward a rich tradition of storytelling and musicianship

Conor Gains
Conor Gains believes in the storytelling power of the open road. Drawing inspiration from his travels, cosmic soundscapes, and the balance between familiarity and exploration, Gains has crafted a distinctive sound rooted in Americana, rock, and blues. His dedication to the craft has built a growing career defined by soulful songwriting, captivating performances, and a deep connection with audiences.
From late nights in small-town bars and clubs across North America to stages at festivals and concert halls, Gains has honed his voice as a songwriter and performer. With a “song-first” approach, his live performances showcase the depth of a masterful storyteller—an artist whose authenticity, musicianship, and passion continue to resonate with fans of timeless music.
