24H BLUE MTN returns this March
Bigger, bolder, and reimagined as an inclusive, weekend-long fundraising festival for a great cause.
From Friday, March 27 to Sunday, March 29, teams will hit the slopes and the village for an unforgettable blend of skiing, snowboarding, team challenges, live entertainment, and late-night fun. All proceeds support Special Olympics and other local charities through the Blue Mountain Foundation.

What Changes Can You Expect This Year?
Blue Mountain and the Blue Mountain Foundation are stepping up in a big way. Their increased involvement means more entertainment, more activations, and a stronger overall experience for participants and spectators alike.
This year, we’re shifting the focus away from pure racing and toward having an incredible time with your team while supporting a great cause. This change levels the playing field and ensures everyone—regardless of ability—feels confident, comfortable, and welcome on the course.
Don’t worry, laps will still be tracked, but the brightest spotlight is on supporting our Special Olympic Athletes and event champions, not the clock. With this shift, the event now welcomes participants of all ages, and children under 12 can participate alongside an adult teammate.
As we move away from racing, we’re also introducing a little fun enforcement. Participants who feel compelled to “tuck” or overtake in transition zones may find themselves spending time in Tuck Jail at the top, with time-outs assigned based on the infraction. Lighthearted, fair, and focused on safety.
We’ve got you covered. Introducing the Team Scorecard: a collection of challenges designed to earn points throughout the event. Add in fundraising incentives, and teams that raise the most money for our cause will be rewarded as well. Strategy, teamwork, and creativity now play just as big a role as speed. Game on.
Safety remains a top priority (closely followed by fun-raising). We’re redesigning the footprint at the base of the hill to improve flow and reduce congestion. With the new format, all participants must slow down in transition zones, and overtaking will result in penalties.
We’re also opening additional dedicated runs specifically for the event, creating more space and a smoother experience for everyone. More details to come soon.
Moving the event later into March gives us more room to grow—literally. The later date ensures there are available accommodation rooms for participants, their teams, and their cheerleaders.
It also means more open runs, more opportunities to ride the chair with your teammates, and more space for entertainment, live music, event installations, and on-site activations.
And let’s not forget the bonus perks: warmer weather, longer days, après goggle tans, vitamin D, and plenty of spring skiing energy.
We can’t wait to welcome you to an event that’s been thoughtfully reimagined to grow become even more meaningful. Thank you for being part of it!
